Nancy has over 30 years of health care leadership experience. Before joining Westminster-Canterbury, Nancy served as the Senior Vice President of Resident Care for Sunrise Senior Living. She was responsible for quality assurance and regulatory affairs, memory care, activities, policies and procedures, and resident care for Sunrise’s 300 communities and 30,000 residents in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Before that, Nancy was the President of Senior Independence, now Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice, where she was responsible for leading seven owned and four partner home and community services agencies.

Nancy has a bachelor’s degree in Individual and Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s in social administration from Case Western Reserve University, and a Doctor of Management from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.

Nancy is the author of Fired: How to Manage Your Career in the Age of Job Uncertainty.

Michelle’s experience in health care leadership spans for over 13 years. Before joining Senior Options, she served as the Administrator for Columbus Colony (the only deaf Nursing Facility in the country) where she was responsible for quality assurance and regulatory affairs, memory care, activities, policies and procedures, and resident care. Before that, Michelle served as the Vice President of Business Development for Senior Independence, now Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice, where she was responsible for growing home health and hospice by over 200% in seven owned and four partner home and community services agencies. Michelle also has 20 years of leadership experience in many Fortune 500 companies, including Gap Inc., IBM, and GTE, where she served in senior leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, and Client Services.

Michelle has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University, a Certificate of Economics from the University of Krakow in Poland, and a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University. Michelle is a CHAP, Certified Consultant.

As our Senior Director of Finance and Operations, Melinda is responsible for the finance, accounting, and billing team at Senior Options. And, she works with our current and prospective partners on budgeting, strategic initiatives, reimbursement, cost reports, and pro forma development.

Melinda brings over 25 years of financial management experience in the senior care environment. She has led the overall operations for six healthcare living centers, and two assisted living communities. She also has experience collaborating with multiple healthcare and state associations. Melinda currently serves as the Vice-Chair for the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants Board of Directors and is a member of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Melinda enjoys reading, traveling, walking, attending plays, and concerts.

Devyn provides management and support for all health information systems use and performance for the Senior Options national network.

Devyn has over six years of health information technology and project management experience managing and supporting electronic health record systems, including implementation planning and maintenance of both physician practice and senior living systems. She previously served as Health Information Coordinator and then Health Information Manager for Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay’s skilled nursing and assisted living communities.

Devyn has a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA) from Southern New Hampshire University, a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University and is a Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP); 2015-2021.

Devyn enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and Calligraphy.

As our Senior Director of Clinical Operations, Angela develops dynamic teams to impact communities one heart at a time.

Angela has over 15 years of healthcare management experience across the continuum of care. She is an expert in Patient-Centered Care Methods and has developed programs including transitional psychiatric, palliative, and bridge for home health and hospice. She has also served as an administrator for over eight years.

Angela has a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Purdue University.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys running, painting in watercolor, spending time with her family.

Joan enjoys working with the partner network to brainstorm, empower, and help them grow their businesses.

Joan brings over 12 years of working in senior health care. Before joining Senior Options, Joan served as an iPartner Manager for Senior Independence, now Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice. She was responsible for maintaining customer service and communication with six affiliates, which were at various levels within the Home and Community Based services spectrum.

Joan has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The Ohio State University.

When Joan isn’t busy helping our partners, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

As our Manager Financial Analysis, Joy partners with our executive team to analyze and strategize to continually improve the operational performance of Home and Community Based Services and our affiliated Senior Options partners.

Before joining Senior Options, Joy worked in Finance for a large regional healthcare organization. She feels one of her career achievements is venturing from public accounting to non-profit organizations, allowing her to fulfill her passion for serving organizations with missions she believes in.

Joy is a CPA and has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is married with three children and enjoys filling her free time with fun family activities such as traveling, playing sports, going to the beach, and occasionally reading a good thriller suspense novel.

As our Manager of Billing Operations, Jocely is responsible for managing accounts receivables for Home and Community Based Services for all of our Senior Options partners.

Jocely brings over 15 years of financial planning and analysis experience to Senior Options. During her career, she worked within smaller companies and also Fortune 500 organizations. Working at Senior Options has been her first venture into the non-profit sector, and she feels it has been the most rewarding career venture yet.

Jocely has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Old Dominion University and a bachelor of arts in political science and sociology from Virginia Tech.

In her time outside of work, Jocely enjoys shopping, DIY Home Improvements, traveling, and, most importantly, spending time with her family.

Hazel is our Business Development Manager, and she works with the Senior Options partners to provide training for the Sales and Marketing teams.

Before joining us, Hazel worked with seniors at Therapy Network in the Fall Prevention Program for three years. Before that, she worked Pharma for six years, launching the first medication on the market to help slow the memory loss in Alzheimer’s patients. Hazel feels one of her career achievements was to establish inside and outside marketing teams for a medical group with eight locations while supervising eight employees.

Hazel has a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.

When she is not training, Hazel enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
